Chapter 7: One in the Oven, One in the Grave...

Hello all, and welcome back to The Wolf Family Legacy as we continue the transition into generation three.

Yes, Aarin and Aafia have now reached their teenage years, and for Sims in my legacy that usually only means one thing- skilling.
Aafia was a Computer Whiz so one of her main hobbies was hacking away on the computer each evening, which brought a nice bit of money into the family funds.

She was also a Virtuoso so soon took up the Piano skill.

Meanwhile, Aarin had the Loves the Outdoors trait so she took over the maintenance and upkeep of her dad Julian's garden.

Although it's safe to say Aarin got a little more than she bargained for in this respect, as she discovered when she came across a rather unusual plant...

The fruit tasted nice at first, but it came with a rather unusual side effect...

BRING ON THE PLANTSIM!

Okay, so it's probably not quite what you were expecting. You see, I love Plantsims- they were my favourite occult state in The Sims 2- so I was more than thrilled when they were announced for The Sims 3, with one tiny exception... I'm just not a fan of the leafy skin they're supposed to come with.

So I did a little modding, as you do, and the result is a lovely pale Plantsim without the foliage.

Aarin may look a little abnormal for her species, but she still has all the relevant perks- my favourite of which is the nice little petal trail she leaves behind wherever she walks.

She even has a petal trail when she goes sailing- neat!

Anyways, so over the next few days Aarin got accustomed to her new lifestate as she gardened to her heart's content.

Meanwhile, Aafia spent the majority of her time out and about in the neighbourhood, able to fully embrace her mermaid abilities now she was a teenager.

Erm, yeah... Not sure what happened here. I was following the twins during their daily endeavors and returned to this wonderful sight. But I'm sure it's completely innocent...

Oh. That does not look like the face of innocence.

Oh for gawds sake... Fricking Bonehilda with her seductive skeletal charms. Not to worry though, it won't last. Thanks to Bonehilda's ghostly glitchiness Julian will have forgotten she exists the minute she takes her boney fingers off of him.

So anyways, leaving the weird sexual tension aside for a minute, I'd like to invite you all to grand opening of Aarin and Aafia's basement hideout. With a bit of extra money in the family funds I was able to extend the basement and create a nice room in which the twins could hold their teenage gatherings.

Aarin was pretty excited about it all.

As was Bonehilda when she found the massage chair.

So with the basement shack all set up I decided to throw a party for the twins and their friends.

During the party Aafia spent time with a guy called Isidro Shadow (cool name, thanks Story Progression). However any romantic ideas were soon put on hold when I found out that Isidro was the boyfriend of one of Aafia's best friends.

Elsewhere in the household, Aarin was having much better luck as she got to know a boy from her school- Troy Levitas.

Well, it went well for a bit until Aarin's crazy side took over...

Yeah, I don't think Troy was too impressed after that.

A few days later and it was time for yet another party (got to get some good use out of the basement after all).

Once again Aarin used this opportunity to try and get close to Troy, her current man-crush, and I think it went a bit better this time.

Oops, spoke too soon.

Jeez...

I decided to try and reign Aarin in at this point, and got her to show her more alluring side by using one of her Plantsim perks- the Flower Kiss interaction.

Worked like a charm.

Ooh yeah, you smooth hussy.

Ah balls. Just when things were going so well fricking Death has to show up to ruin it. We can't even have a simple party!

Well at least it's not one of the party guests dying, it's only Foxxy (soz Foxxy).

Foxxy was the last remaining pet in the Wolf household, so the family were understandably upset to see her go.

Although some people weren't opposed to using the sad news to get a bit of comfort from hunky teenage boys...

Sooooooo moving on as always, and we find ourselves now at Aarin and Aafia's Prom Night. The girls were suitably excited about the evening ahead, and so put on their best outfits for the occasion.

The limo that came to pick up the girls was a little unconventional...

Now obviously we're not able to see what happened during the Prom, but I've made notes of the little scenarios that popped up:
Aarin attended the Prom with Troy, and during the evening he asked her to go steady and they shared their first kiss- aww! Aarin was also voted Prom Queen.
Aafia sadly didn't have a date, though she did spend a lot of her time with a boy from her school called Jamie, who is actually Troy's cousin. She also got into two fights with random girls...

The day after the Prom I decided to throw yet another party for the twins. I spoil them, I know, but Julian, Kendra, and Bonehilda had gone off on a 'free holiday' so it seemed like the right thing to do.

Aafia's new love interest Jamie was invited to the party so she could get to know him a bit better.

Things got off to a good start.

But sadly when Aafia went in for the kill Jamie decided to play it cool. How rude.

Meanwhile, in the sauna, Aarin was having much better luck in her relationship with Troy.

The twosome had been inseparable since they first met, and spent most of their time in one embrace or another.

Naturally it seemed that things would inevitably progress to the next level.

And that's when things got a bit awkward... Right in the middle of Aarin and Troy's romantic entanglement who would show up but a newly and inexplicably aged Julian.

Awks...

Understandably Julian wasn't too impressed with his teenage daughter's behaviour, and wasn't shy about making it known.

Aarin soon let Julian know how she felt in return... Hehe...

The following night it was time for Kendra's birthday as she joined Julian in elderhood.

Yep, being old sucks- sorry Kendra. Nice rack for an oldie though.

Immediately after aging Kendra chose to retire, and the old curse from my last legacy returned as Julian celebrated/protested the event with a yeti placard...

So with Julian and Kendra suitably aged and enjoying their retirement I turned my attention back to Aafia and her pursuit of love.

Aafia's attempt at wooing Jamie got off to a good start again as she continued to build up their friendship.

But once more it soon fell flat, and this time I found out why. Jamie has the Unflirty trait, which spells out bad news for Aafia's attempts to romance the lad.

Poor dear, it looks like Aafia is never going to get any action.

But that's probably for the best, as I think Aarin has had enough action for the both of them...

Yep, after her ill-advised smooshing with Troy at the party Aarin soon found herself in a bit of a tricky predicament, and with her head in a toilet. It was a surprising development for all involved.

Aafia was so shocked she died the next day.

Okay not really- she didn't die of shock- but she did die, apparently of dehydration.

What the hell! I knew mermaids could get dehydrated- it happened enough with Kendra in the beginning- but I didn't know they could actually die as a result :(

And the worst part of the whole thing is Death didn't even hang around to give Aarin a chance to save her sister's life, he just took Aafia and then fucked off to read the latest erotic novel or some shit. What a fucking liberty.

When Julian and Kendra found out about Aafia's death they were completely devastated, as expected.

So it probably wasn't the best time for them to learn that their other daughter was knocked up...

Fortunately though Julian and Kendra were very understanding and supportive about the whole thing.

Let's just hope the feelings of goodwill continue after the baby is born. But you'll have to join us next time to see what happens ;)
