Chapter 2: Follow Your Heart

You rejoin us in the Wolf household on a very exciting day. Since Lylah first moved to Hidden Springs I've had her working hard on her skills in an effort to bring in some money, and it's worked out well as before long we were able to extend and remodel the house. Ta-da!

But not all of the credit goes to Lylah, a lot of kudos is for the woofer in the bathtub- Anubis. Honestly peeps, if your Sims are ever struggling for money just get a dog and get them hunting. The amount of money brought in from the gems and rocks that Anubis has found is probably double what Lylah has earnt herself.

Having said that, not all Lylah's skill building has a monetary reward, some have another benefits...

Can anyone guess what this surprised face means?

Hmm, perhaps I should have done the transformation indoors so it was a bit clearer, but those are wings people- fairy wings!

Yup, Lylah is now one of the fae, yey. Excited about her recent change, Lylah soon headed over to boyfriend Dexter's house to show off her newly shiny awesomeness.

Sadly Dexter was at work at the time, but his father Angel was at home so he invited Lylah in to wait.

Lylah only went in to be polite- she thought she would stay a little while and then make her excuses and leave- but as it turned out she and Angel found they had a lot to talk about.

For some reason they just hit it off, and Lylah found she forgot all about the fact that she was waiting for Dexter.

In particular, Lylah and Angel had certain destructive habits in common...

Soz bookcase...

Angel just couldn't help telling Lylah how much he admired her after that.

But before long Dexter returned home and Lylah's attention was diverted elsewhere.

The couple went back to Lylah's house after that for some privacy.

If yanno what I mean...

The next morning Dexter went off to work, and Lylah received a phonecall from Angel inviting her out, which she accepted.

Things started innocently enough with a nice game of frisbee.

But then Lylah found she couldn't resist the urge to blow up some public property.

After their fun in the graveyard Lylah and Angel headed to the beach for a cool Winter's dip.

They stayed beside the seaside (lol) as the night drew in.

Maybe it was the moonlight, maybe it was just a lapse in judgement, but either way Lylah found herself drawn to Angel in more ways than one.

The following morning Lylah was experiencing a case of liar liar pants on fire in the literal sense as she had an unfortunate inventing accident.

This is where fairy wings come in very useful- speedy transport to the shower to put the fire out.

When she was suitably dampened Lylah invited Dexter over for the day.

It's fair to say Lylah was feeling somewhat guilty after her indiscretion the previous night, but did she attempt to tell Dexter the truth? Oh, no no no.

Ignorance is bliss huh.

It wasn't long after Dexter left that Lylah had another visitor at the door. She invited Angel in without much thought, not even put off by his recent transition into an elder.

The subsequent interactions happened without much thought either.

And this is when things got a little bit tricky... This is my fault really, I just so happen to have a mod in my game which enables risky woohoo, and as such I don't necessarily get the little twinkly sound when someone gets knocked up. Consequently Lylah now finds herself in the awkward position of not knowing who her baby's father is... This is some Jeremy Kyle shit.

But despite not knowing whose seed was inside her Lylah still had to make the decision to tell someone, after all she was going to need support throughout her pregnancy.

Dexter was more than thrilled when Lylah told him the news.

He moved in that same day.

When Dexter joined the Wolf house he added somewhat to the household funds, and with this money Lylah was able to furnish a nursery for the impending arrival.

Apparently I'm a bit crap and forgot to take any pictures of Lylah's growing bump or the labour (my bad) but either way before long Lylah and Dexter took themselves off to the hospital and returned with a baby boy- Julian.

Dexter bonded with Julian immediately and soon took charge in caring for him over the next few days.

Meanwhile Lylah returned to skilling once again, and was able to build a mining machine and tear up the backyard.

She also built a time machine, though didn't really get to enjoy it. During my last legacy I had far too many time machine babies popping up all over the place, so it's made me a bit reluctant to let Lylah loose into the timestream. Soz honey.

Anyways, speaking of time- here's Anubis growing up into an elder. Yay/boo.

And on the same day Dexter became an adult...

...and Julian grew into a toddler.

Immediately after his transition Dexter went to spend some time with the boy.

He began giving him a start on his life skills and taught him to walk.

Meanwhile Lylah received a phonecall from an old lover...

The following morning Dexter went out to work as usual, leaving Lylah at home with the baby.

Before long the rain began to pour as a familiar face showed up on the doorstep.

Lylah was thrilled to invite Angel into her home once again, though Angel himself didn't look particularly excited when he was introduced to Julian.

Perhaps he had other things on his mind...

Lylah and Angel were so wrapped up in each other they didn't even notice the sky clearing, the rain beginning to stop, and Dexter returning home from work.

It was like a knife in the gut; the betrayal. Dexter never thought he could feel that bad.

He confronted Lylah whilst his father sat smirking on the bed.

She tried to apologise as best she could as Angel quietly snuck out of the house.

But what was there to say really?

It was too late.

It was over.

Dexter left not long after that and headed for his former home, to confront his father...

As the night drew in Lylah spent some time with her son and tried her best to distract her thoughts from wandering back to the men in her life.

But in the end she knew she couldn't keep away. She needed to know what was happening, and so she called a babysitter and left for the Heart home.

As the walked up to the front driveway she didn't know what to expect, but nothing could have prepared her for what she found.

Fire. Flames everywhere. Tendrils of smoke which reached up to the sky.

And inside the outline of two bodies, still moving, frantic until... nothing.

In the end there was only one thing left.

Only Death.

  1. Why do I feel like Angel started the fire? It's a shame that I can't get Dexter on Sims 4 'cause that's the only one I have and Dexter is better looking than any Sim I've been able to find there
