Chapter 6: Babies and Boney Things

Ah, what better way to start your day than by vomming into the ocean... My Sims are living the good life.

But the vom is not without reason- Kendra is pregnant, as Julian was only too thrilled to hear.

With a baby on the way the spare room was transformed into a nursery for the little one.

Kendra soon got to work swotting up on this whole baby business as she read some pregnancy books.

Meanwhile Julian continued to provide for the family as usual. His Science career was going nicely, and he'd reached level 9 in the Scuba Diving skill.

Julian's underwater prowess was such that he was able to acquire yet another hidden island- wahey! He got this one for collecting and assembling four map pieces.

So all in all, Kendra's pregnancy progressed nicely.

I think the only significant event to happen during this time was Foxxy aging into an Elder.

Before long it was labor time. Kendra huffed and puffed while Julian freaked, but eventually he pulled himself together and took her to the hospital.

The couple returned with twin baby girls, and I have never seen two people more thrilled to be parents...

Wha... Julian, what's wrong with you?

O_O

Island interval once again! As you may know the baby stage is uber boring, so I basically just threw the twins in their cribs and sent Julian out scuba diving once again. He acquired this island through help from one of his mermaid friends.

Meanwhile, back at the house, Triple Cream had finally claimed her first victim... But who is it?

Silly silly Bonehilda, I told you to stay away from the attic but you just couldn't help yourself could you? You just had to have a nice slice of cake, and now you're dead. I guess it had to happen eventually.

With the Wolf household now maid-less, Kendra scolded Triple Cream for taking Bonehilda away.

But although it was a shame to lose our boney butler it wasn't like there were no benefits to the situation...

Kendra drank Triple Cream's milk and found herself rejuvinated. It worked out quite well actually- in reality Kendra was quite a bit older than Julian, but now they're about the same age.

The following day it was 'Spooky Day' and time for a costume party.

And don't Julian and Kendra just look adorable in their matching hotdog costumes? Aww :)

As you can see there was a certain skeletal presence at this party. Pretty much straight away after Bonehilda died we bought Bonehilda II. It seemed like the easiest way to move on...
Anyways, for some reason the party mainly took place in the twins' bedroom, which worked out well.

The costume party coincided nicely with the twins' birthdays, so there were lots of friends and family around to welcome them into their toddler years.
So, would you like to be introduced to the next generation of The Wolf Family Legacy?

Readers, meet Aarin and Aafia.
Aafia is on the left- she seems to have inherited Julian's hair colour and a darker version of Lylah's eyes. Aarin is on the right- she has Lylah's hair and Kendra's eyes.

With the twins all cute and toddler-shaped Julian and Kendra soon got to work teaching them their life skills.

Kendra took to motherhood really well and bonded with her daughters easily.

Certain other people's parenting skills left a lot to be desired...

But regardless, the twins both learnt to walk and talk and things went along pleasantly until it was time for their birthdays once again.

Aarin was up first.

And then Aafia.

So one thing I knew I wanted to do throughout this legacy is keep in touch with generation one, seen as Lylah and Zingbot will be with us for a very long time. Therefore, Aarin's childhood state of course meant an opportunity to bond with her grandmother.

Aafia's attempts to bond with Zingbot didn't go quite so well...

With the twins grown up and needing their own space I did some remodeling in order to give them their own bedrooms. The nursery was transformed into Aafia's bedroom, and a basement was built and furnished to provide Aarin with her own room too.

The basement also came with a home gym and sauna, which Julian and Kendra were very pleased by...

During their childhood years Aarin and Aafia took a lot of cues from their parents in terms of what skills they pursued. Aarin had the 'Loves the Outdoors' trait like both her parents, so soon took up fishing.

Meanwhile, Aafia was a mermaid like her mother, so she began to snorkel in an attempt to improve her scuba diving skill.

As well as building up skills I also made sure the twins continued to build up relationships with their grandparents (well, grandmother and robotic grandfather-type figure). The whole family spent a number of days over at Lylah and Zingbot's house.

When back at home I continued to battle against Triple Cream's potent allure.

As you can see it wasn't always easy...

Fortunately Julian was spared once again.

But the following day it seemed that someone wasn't quite so lucky, given the sight of Triple Cream's engorged udders... So, who has kicked the bucket this time?

Fucking great, it's Bonehilda II.

Bonehilda II passed on without incident, and the Grim Reaper decided to hang around for a bit afterwards to be friendly like.

Julian just couldn't resist trying to do some scientific experiments on him at this time...
But as well as Julian and Death's newfound friendship there was another interesting development... When the first Bonehilda died she was just gone, with no remains left behind. This time however Bonehilda II left an urn, and when a certain opportunity came about curiosity just took over.

Ladies and gents, we have a fully playable ghost Bonehilda living in the household.

Sadly Bonehilda's presence wasn't exactly welcomed to begin with. As a ghost most people tended to pull faces whenever they saw her.

This would prove to be very unfortunate for Bonehilda, as unfortunately she had the Flirty trait and therefore most of her desires revolved around meeting a potential mate. I got her set up with online dating and attempted to get her some hook-ups, but I soon discovered a problem.

Every time Bonehilda interacted with someone they would instantly forget her as soon as they stopped talking. She's kind of like the Silence in Doctor Who- you only remember she exists when you look at her, or in this case talk to her. I guess this means Bonehilda won't be getting her flirt on anytime soon :/

The situation with Bonehilda sucked but there wasn't much I could do about it, so instead I turned my attention back to the twins.
As well as her outdoor pursuits Aarin also took up cooking, and made a number of yummy treats with her mini oven.

The twins also managed to do very well at school- both completed their homework together every evening, and soon they each had a place on the honor roll.

In addition, both girls were successful in establishing friendships. They befriended two sisters- Olivia and Ellenor- and the foursome spent a lot of time together having sleepovers and whatnot.

Meanwhile Bonehilda spent her time alone, sailing the high seas looking for love... Sob!

And speaking of the seas, this was also where Julian spent a lot of his time. By now he had reached level 10 in the scuba diving skill and he was rewarded with this nifty retro diving suit.

He also earnt yet another hidden island.

So, birthday time once again. It was time for the twins to age up, and a small party was thrown for the occasion.

Aafia was first to age up.

...Why does she hate me?

Next up was Aarin.

Holy crap she's smiling, this almost never happens.

And that is where we shall leave things for today- with a lovely picture of the two girls at the start of their teenage years. Join us next time to see what they get up to yes?
