Chapter 20: Teen Dreams and Transylvanian Transformations

Ah piss. Sometimes I think my game is cursed yanno, because the amount of Sims who keep dying on me is just too damn high.

In this case though maybe the death could be put down to me being a bit careless and not keeping an eye on our resident cowplant... But placing blame helps no one.

What does help, apparently, is cuddling up to the nearest hunky young man you can find- apparently Casper's solution to coping with his mother's death in this scenario.

Well, if it helps it helps.

Can we just take a moment now to appreciate just how damn pretty this generation is? Okay, so Casper isn't actually related to the Wolf legacy by blood (and technically not by any means now Trent is no longer dating his mother) but still.

My favourite though of course has to be Delphi. She's only a child but look how gorgeous she is?

Oh... You just had to go and ruin it didn't you Delphi?

Delphi really is a Sim of two halves- she has beauty, but it comes with a side of utter derpishness. I think it's why I like her so much...
And anyways, the craziness can't really be helped as it's in her traits- she's Neurotic which means she tends to freak out about everything, particularly when around Ghost Bonehilda.

And she wasn't the only one- Snowball the cat wasn't exactly a fan of our resident ghost either.

But leaving Delphi aside for a moment as we return to Casper and his continued pursuit of romance. My favourite gothic teen had by this point developed a bit of a crush on someone, and had taken to standing outside their house in the dark serenading them with a guitar.

The only complication in this instance- the 'someone' in question is actually a centuries old vampire who has actually been a friend of the Wolf's since generation one (seriously, you can find him lurking in the background of many party pictures as early as Chapter 3).

Still- Casper wasn't one to be put off easily, and so he set about building up his friendship with Damon, even going so far as to bond with his cat Fluffy.

Speaking of cats, back at the Wolf household we were experiencing somewhat of a rodent invasion, as always, so naturally I thought Snowball would the perfect choice to sort out the critters. How wrong I was..

I think the only good thing to come out of Snowball joining the Wolfs was that she and Delphi had become firm friends.

Sadly Delphi, much like big brother Casper, didn't have any actual friends to speak of, though at least she had been able to form a good bond with her dad Trent.

And so when the time came for Delphi's birthday party it was a naturally quiet affair, with only close family on hand.

I must say, considering how cute Delphi is a child I'm very excited to see how she looks as a teenager.

GAH!!!

Oh okay, that's better. For some reason there was a bit of an error that meant Delphi wouldn't age up, so I had to do it manually in CAS mode and it came out a little weird at first... But it was all fine in the end, damn fine as you can see.

Now Delphi was a teenager she found she was able to express her Artistic trait even more freely, as she began to work on her graffiti skills.

She also dabbled in sculpting from time to time.

And other than skill building Delphi spent most of her time with her cutesy little kitty :)

At least someone in the Wolf household was getting on well with the animals...

As you can imagine by this point I was beginning to despair a little of my two troublesome teens and their lack of friends, so I thought it would be a good idea to send them out into the neighborhood to meet some people.

Of course there was only one person Casper was interested in meeting, so as soon as he saw Damon at the nearby ice cream truck he couldn't resist running over to get himself a treat...

And even a grown-up Fluffy showed up to the park that day!

Unfortunately Damon ran off to work before Casper could make a move, leaving him frustrated an in a slappy mood...

As the evening drew in I sent the teens to the local club to see if they could form any friendships there instead.

They didn't, but at least it gave Delphi an opportunity to work on her graffiti skill.

The following night it was Casper's birthday, which he spent alone as is tradition.

Um, believe it or not this is Casper as a young adult. He looks exactly the same...

So as soon as Casper had aged up of course his first thought was of his favourite vampire, so he quickly headed over to Damon's house to surprise him.

Unfortunately Damon wasn't there, which Casper did not take well...

By the time Casper was able to track Damon down it was the following morning when the two arranged to meet at the beach.

Casper was of course thrilled to see Damon again, particularly as he had an important question to ask him...

All in all it was a pretty good day for Casper.

Elsewhere in the world Delphi was also having a beach day as she relaxed by herself on the sand.

Later in the evening she returned home where, shock of shocks, she had a friend come over to visit!

Well, she was a friend when the evening started, I'm not sure she was a friend by morning...

But despite Delphi's difficult nature she did actually manage to form a friendship with one person in the neighborhood- a young man called Kai.

He liked Delphi so much he eventually became her boyfriend.

The next morning in the Wolf household Casper awoke feeling a little funny...

Perhaps it was just butterflies in his stomach because he was excited to see his boyfriend Damon later, or perhaps it was something else entirely...

Yup, Casper had changed into a vampire, and of course he couldn't wait for Damon to come over to see the new him.

Aww, you know what? I love these two. Just look at their little faces!

They're so sweet together I just had to honour Casper's wish to have Damon move in with him.

And Fluffy the cat came too :)

But that's not to say everyone was so thrilled with Damon moving in...
I guess it's to be expected though, Delphi's not exactly the friendly type.

And neither is Snowball.

But in this instance I will settle for at least one of my Sims being happy.

Cheers!
